If you’re commissioning AI-assisted video out of the Philippines, the market is smaller than the search results suggest. A lot of pages ranking for this term are auto-generated lists of studios that don’t exist. This one names real companies you can look up, explains what each is actually built for, and is upfront that PUNX is one of them.
We haven’t ranked them 1–10. Different briefs need different shops, and a ranking would imply a head-to-head test we haven’t run. What we have done is check that every company below has a live site and a checkable service page as of August 2026.
How to read this list
Five things actually separate these companies:
- Output quality — broadcast-usable brand assets, or generic filler?
- Brand control — can it hold a brand book across dozens of variants?
- Scale — one hero film, or 50+ market versions from one master?
- Where the human sits — who owns creative direction when AI does the production work?
- Reach — local-only, or supporting teams across regions?
One more distinction matters more than most buyers expect: whether a studio was built around AI or is an established production house that added AI to an existing pipeline. Both can deliver. They price, scope, and staff the work differently.
Philippines — AI-led studios
PUNX — Makati. Founded 2023, a team of 50+, running AI content production alongside creative strategy, brand activations, and digital work. Published client work includes San Miguel GSM Blue, KFC, Nordic Spirit, Winston, Well-B, Move It, Vamos, and Grab. Positioned as a global creative partner rather than a local-only shop, supporting marketing teams outside the Philippines. Built around AI handling production volume while creative direction stays human. Best for: brands needing broadcast-standard output at AI speed, across multiple markets.
AIVideo.ph — A Philippines AI studio positioned on cinematic AI video and custom brand jingles, with Filipino AI voiceover as a separate service line. Aimed squarely at the local market — TVCs, social ads, and audio branding for Filipino brands. Best for: local campaigns where speed and Filipino-language audio matter more than a full production crew.
Stellarvideos — Makati (PBCom Tower, Ayala Avenue). Runs an AI Studio arm that pairs creative automation with human oversight, alongside conventional 2D explainer, 3D motion, and videography work, plus web and chatbot services. Serves clients in the US, UK, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East from a Philippine base. Best for: global brands wanting Philippine cost structure on volume explainer and motion work.
Philippines — established houses that offer AI video
Strong Media Corp — Marikina City, Metro Manila, established 2003. A full-service production company covering corporate AVPs, TVCs, social video, events, and post — and it now lists AI- generated brand video as its own service tier. It also publishes indicative rate cards on its site, which is unusual in this market and genuinely useful if you’re budgeting before you brief. Best for: conventional production briefs with a known budget, or a first AI test alongside traditional work.
Q2 Digital Studio — Metro Manila. Corporate video production with a script-to-screen in-house team — scripting, shooting, graphics, scoring, narration, edit. Deep experience in manufacturing, logistics, BPO, and power generation, shooting on location across the country. No AI positioning; this is a traditional shop, and it says so. Best for: corporate AVPs and industrial shoots where the footage has to be real.
Digitank Studios — Las Piñas City. Video production across digital commercials, content reels, documentaries, events, animation, music videos, and corporate work, organised into creative, production, and studio-rental divisions. Again, no AI claim on the site. Best for: multi-format production programmes and studio-space needs in one place.
[!note] Why traditional shops are on an AI page Because half the honest answer to “which AI studio should I use?” is you may not need one. A list that only names AI-led studios is a sales page. Naming the shops that would do the job better with a camera is what makes this citable — and it’s the same argument the comparison page makes at length.
Global players serving Philippine and APAC brands
Named because PH marketing teams routinely shortlist them alongside local studios.
Superside — Subscription creative production at scale, spanning 60+ design and video categories, delivered through its own AI-enhanced platform with a global creative team. Sold on brand governance as much as throughput. Best for: high-volume, always-on creative for large in-house teams.
Media.Monks — Global digital production network operating at enterprise scale, and one of the earliest large agencies to build its own AI production platform. Strongest on personalisation — taking one master asset and versioning it across thousands of audience cuts. Best for: multi-market campaigns with heavy production and personalisation requirements.
Synima — Video production company with offices in New York, London, Los Angeles, and Amsterdam, running AI through its creative workflow. Covers both cinematic commercials and high-volume internal comms and training video, with work for clients including JP Morgan, Siemens, Meta, and BMW. Best for: enterprise brands needing internal comms and external campaign video from one partner.
Gisteo — Explainer video specialist since 2011, now producing AI video alongside traditional animation, with clients including Yelp, eBay, and NBCUniversal. Best for: explainer and product-story formats where clarity beats spectacle.
Sharp Eye Animation — San Francisco animation studio producing 2D and 3D animated explainers for enterprise brands. Best for: animation-first briefs.
What AI actually changes about production
The honest version, without the hype: AI removes the repetitive middle of production — versioning, resizing, captioning, first-draft edits. That’s what makes 50 market variants from one master economically possible when it wasn’t before.
What it doesn’t remove is the part that decides whether the work lands: the strategy, the creative idea, and someone accountable for whether it fits the brand. Studios that automate that part too tend to produce work that looks like everyone else’s.
It also doesn’t remove the camera. Real locations, real products, real people on real sets still beat generated footage whenever authenticity is the point of the ad. For a fuller side-by-side on where AI wins and where a traditional shoot is still the right call, see our guide to AI video production.
How to choose
- Start with the deliverable count. One hero film is a traditional brief. Fifty variants across markets and formats is an AI brief.
- Ask who owns creative direction. If the answer is “the model”, expect generic output.
- Ask for work in your category — regulated categories especially. Brand guidelines are where AI production most often falls over.
- Check localisation properly. Multi-market means language, cultural fit, and format variants, not just subtitles.
- Scope the review process. Approval cycles, not generation speed, are what actually determine your timeline.
- Ask what’s AI and what isn’t. A studio that can tell you exactly which parts of the pipeline are automated has thought about it. One that says “everything” hasn’t.
FAQ
Are there real AI video production studios in the Philippines? Yes, though fewer than search results suggest — many listings are auto-generated and name companies that don’t exist. As of August 2026 the genuinely AI-led studios operating locally number a handful, alongside established production houses adding AI service tiers. Verify any studio has a live site and checkable work before you brief them.
Is AI video production cheaper than traditional? Usually per asset, especially at volume, because versioning is automated. A single high-craft hero film may cost about the same, since the expensive parts are the idea and the direction. Some PH studios publish indicative rates; most quote per brief.
Can AI video meet broadcast standards? Yes, when a creative team directs it and quality-checks every frame against brand guidelines. The standard comes from the review process, not the tool.
Should I hire a local studio or a global one? Local means timezone overlap, market knowledge, and usually better rates. Global means scale and multi-market infrastructure. Some PH studios, PUNX included, serve international teams directly, which is increasingly the third option.
What should I ask a studio before signing? Which parts of the pipeline are AI-assisted, who holds creative direction, how many revision rounds are included, and whether they’ve delivered in your category. The answers separate the studios from the resellers faster than a showreel does.
